Just a girl with Alopecia who loves stand up comedy.
I would love to show individuals who have a more deep dark aesthetic that it's okay to dress that way in everyday life- a black outfit for work, for dinner, for the gym, for a show- but without being labeled as "gothic" or "witchy" and that wearing all black is OKAY- I wish I believed that myself... I think the Fashion Hero can help me figure that out! In addition, I want to represent all shapes and sizes and genders who have Alopecia! I've been bald since I was 9 years old and I'm 35 now- and have never had access to much money so I've made it work with wigs whether it be 20 dollars or 200. Who cares! The Fashion Hero sends an amazing message out to the world that life is too short to keep up with the trends and for everyone to look and dress the same! Going to the movies? Go bald and in some black leggings and a black skater sweatshirt that you spilled a little bleach on! Just had some hot boots that match, some accessories and black winged eyeliner and no one will ever know the difference OR CARE!
Because I've been fully bald with Alopecia since I was 9 years old and I'm 35 now- and still bald and always wearing wigs. I've worn every color of the rainbow! I've also had to wear all different sizes of the BLACK clothes I love because my weight has been so different over the years, anywhere from 114lbs to 200lbs- but I've ALWAYS made it WORK. I bring color to to my style through lipstick and nail polish, and animal pattern accessories- one could say I'm a bit paranoid to step out of my comfort zone but I want to show people that THAT IS OKAY AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO CHANGE FOR ANYONE!
