I am Zingisa Mpela, a Xhosa girl from Eastern Cape in Aliwal North who is trying everyday to find herself and making sure she does not loose the true image of herself.
I think the fashion hero TV series is a great beggining for people to explore, experience, observe and trying to find their true beauty and purpose of existing in the universe without hiding behind make up, clothes, friends or family but being the true you, you always wanted too. But because of the worlds obstacles or challenges, you just chose to hide behind the mirror. It helps people to accept themselves and loving themselves.
I think I would be a great role model for our generation and inspire people as a new face of the fashion hero, because I am true to myself, I am simple, loving, caring, loyal. I don't want to lie all my life I have been insecure about myself for lot of reasons, like my weight as I am a black avarerage young woman, and I have skin problems especially my face. But I want others out there to stop living life like I do, hiding myself inside doors, hiding my curves in bigger clothes, not looking at the mirror since I was 18 because of skin problems on my face. I want to learn each and every day to value, love, appreciate myself the way I am, so that a little girl who is also on my shoes will see and understand there is no reason to be ashamed of being the next Cinderella just because you have curves or you are black. To let everyone out there know you are beautiful, strong within yourself, so show it to the world.
