When I think about beauty I don’t just think about what’s on the outside, it’s easy to be pretty and play a part. Beauty is described in our society to be perfect, however beauty to me is imperfect; it’s the flaws in our skin, the scars, stretch marks, wrinkles, freckles, the curves of our bodies, all the parts that make us all different and unique in our own individual way. To me beauty is defined not only by our imperfections but, also through our hearts. Yes it’s easy to love family and friends, what about loving everything else in this world? Not only people but everything around us. Real beauty to me is genuine love.
Born and raised in Miami, FL currently living in Tacoma, WA. Growing up in Miami, I was raised in a Latin home being Cuban has to be one of the things I am very proud to be. My culture is beautiful, but one of the things that always stuck with me is; Family is very important, and i don’t mean just blood related but the people who come into our lives for life... I pride my self in always putting others first, I’m a giver and in a way it’s a gift and a curse. BUT I wouldn’t change it. As a kid, art was one of the things that resonated in me till this day, being able to express myself through a form of art exhilarated me. Painting to me is like a getaway, stress melts off when I can get a chance to myself and just work with a brush and some paints.
