I am a pinup model and dressmaker. I have been sewing and designing clothes since I was 7. I love anything retro and vintage, and I love being able to give a second life to old clothes. I started pinup modeling when I was in my early 20’s, I love how it is such a body positive, inclusive, and empowering scene.

I think that it is a wonderful series that is helping to revolutionize the fashion industry in a much needed way. How wonderful it is for people to see themselves represented in such a positive way.

Since I can remember I have been always very drawn to the fashion industry, but I never felt as though I belong in fashion. I would read every fashion magazine over and over but as a petite, curvy, Hispanic girl I never saw myself represented in those pages. It was a clear message to a young, impressionable girl, “you don’t belong here”. But that did not hinder my love for fashion, in fact it did quite the opposite. It planted a dream in me for a different kind of fashion industry. One that can be inclusive to all, body positive, and empowering. It has long been my dream to launch a clothing line that is ethically manufactured and can make everyone feel beautiful. If I am lucky enough to be the new face of fashion hero I would want to use my platform to help bring about real change within the fashion industry and to help little kids who dream of being in fashion just like I did, see themselves positively represented in this industry.
