My name is Portia, I’m a mother of two kids Craig 19 and Mbali 12. I am married from Zimbabwe but living in South Africa at the moment.

I love fashion hero tv series because it give hope to those who have lost hope to be in the modeling industry because of rejection or how they look. I also love it because it’s for anyone in the world. It helps the contestants to be comfortable with who they are and love themselves. It’s an amazing tv show.

I’m the best role model for this show because. I wanted to be a model as long as I can remember. But I got discouraged where I’m from they have this mentality, if you are a model you are a prostitute you are walking around necked and selling your body. Then I was forced into early marriage because I fall pregnant out of wedlock. I was forced to marry the guy who made me pregnant. He was very abusing , beating me didn’t want me to work. He was having so many affairs and I was not allowed to ask him. If I ask he will beat me up and refused to give me food money. To cut the story short. After 12 years of marriage and two kids one day my son told me i must leave him he clearly doesn’t love me if he keeps on beating me up like this. He was only 12 that was my wake up call. I left with the kids. With nothing but our few clothes and 1 blanket. We got divorced. My life started after that it wasn’t easy but by God’s grace I found work and move on with my life. That is y I would be a great role model. I have a story to tell I am a savior. And I didn’t give up on myself even tho my age is not for a modeling. I just want to show people never give up on your dreams. I thank God for shows or people like you. Who give people hope and a future. I’m really blessed now to be married again to a man who loves me and my kids and very supportive. He is supporting me in many ways I can’t even believe. I’m really looking forward to this chance to be in the show. And to prove it’s never too late
