Hi everyone, my name is Chloe Bean! I was born and raised in Midland, Michigan and now live in Tempe, Arizona. Something monumental that changed my perspective on life was when I was diagnosed with Alopecia at the age of 8. Alopecia is an autoimmune disease causing your immune system to attack your hair follicles, resulting in hair loss. From that, I have been bald four times and wouldn't change a thing. My alopecia journey has not been easy, but I've learned the importance of self-love. Loving who you and embracing things that are far out of your control makes you unique, powerful, and beautiful.
I think this is such an amazing way to bring awareness to all types of challenging beauty standards in the world.
Growing up, I used to get bullied for having Alopecia and being bald. Because of that, I try my best to help empower and inspire others around me who also suffer from hair loss conditions which is why I believe that I would be a great role model for this generation. Accepting what you cant control takes patience and time, but having role models who are going through the same thing makes the journey easier. I have a passion to show others that they are not alone, we have a story to share.
