I am a very outspoken, Pisces born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I have worked at the MTA New York City Transit Authority for 24 years but my real passion is to have my own artist development and management company.
I have not watched previous seasons of A New Kind of Beautiful but I think that I'm a perfect contestant because I am African American, 48 years old and what some consider obese. There have been many times throughout my life when I haven't felt beautiful enough or good enough, yet I still try to walk with confidence.
I have done several plastic surgery procedures throughout the years and now that I'm almost 50, I just want to love myself wholeheartedly...flaws and all. I also want younger people to learn from my bouts with low self-esteem and to start embracing their beauty early on( even if they don't fit into what society considers beautiful). I want to learn from the shows mentors so that I too can be a mentor/role model.
