Hello! I'm a South African that can't sit still so decided to adopt the tenets of an unconventional life and traverse the globe. I have lived and worked in 6 countries and feel incredibly grateful for the enriching and diverse cultural experiences that have shaped my personal development and augmented my practice in media, arts and education.

Wow! What a great idea/concept. I was incredible inspired by past shows, and the overall message of diversity, inclusivity and disrupting the status quo really resonates with me! Go Fashion Hero team!

It took some time, but I realised that my calling in life was to make an impact on the Fashion industry. I love clothes but had an even more pressing desire to delve deeper into the social, psychological and environmental issues the Fashion industry creates and also solves. I am back at university studying a masters degree in Fashion Strategy at ArtEZ university in the Netherlands. My research mainly focusses on the role the body plays in Fashion. I use my body in quirky and experimental ways to understand our emotional connection to garments, ourselves and ourselves in garments. I have never been especially skinny or fat, but through living in different cultures around the world became increasingly aware of where my measurements place me on the 'attractiveness' scale, relative to the rest of the population. My body, regardless of how small or big it is, has served me well. It is incredibly strong and resilient and we have had many adventures together. By participating in The Fashion Hero, I hope to inspire and instil the same confidence in others as I eventually managed to find in myself. PS: The pictures showcased are the result of knowing some amazing photographers. Those people have mad magical skills.
