In my day job I work in healthcare. My passion is acting and I enjoy taking on various acting roles sometimes in theatre and sometimes for film, including online film and music videos. I am the kind of person who likes to break my own boundaries and limitations, therefore I have entered this competition because of many reasons: first of all, when I was young and beautifully slim I had no confidence. I was painfully shy and awkward at school and very insecure about my personal appearance. It is only now when I look at old photos that I think 'what was I worried about!' The second reason is because I am 5ft 2in tall and whatever agency or job I have approached (really regarding acting work) I have been told that I could not be considered for modelling work because of my height. Well, that just makes me want to do it. Third of all I am proud to say that at 37 years old i am going for my dreams and have the confidence to believe in myself. I don't want to see 20 year old tall, slim models in nice clothes all the time I want to see real people modelling clothes that look good on them because, believe it or not, it is possible to look good when you are over 25 years old, bigger than a size 8 and not 5ft 8in or more. I would like to be the living proof of that.
