What do I think about A New Kind of Beautiful TV series Presented by The Fashion Hero TV series?

Coming in to this world in 1987, Yael Perez has roots in Canada, Morocco, Israel and Romania. Born and raised in Montreal, she started her modeling career by posing for some friends who were taking photography classes. Something about being in front of the lens captivated her and, after receiving a lot of encouragement from friends and family, she decided to jump into the modeling world more seriously. Every photo and every goal she reaches is in memory of her beautiful and courageous Mom. Her passing from cancer in late 2009 was one of the major catalysts that pushed Yael into pursuing her career dreams. Now, at the age of 26, she already has some more ambitious experience under her belt - modeling for Reitmans Canada from May 2011 to August 2012 for the web catalogues of Addition-Elle, Penningtons and MXM. Although the photos did not show her face, it allowed her to get a foot in the door and gain more of the confidence needed to pursue a career in fashion. Always continuing to grow and evolve, Yael has taken her plus size modeling career even further by starting up her own lifestyle and culture resource for the curvy women of her beautiful hometown. P.S. Montreal, still in its early stages, was started by Yael and her friend Megan in the Fall of 2012. Their website boasts a blog, a directory of resources, multiple services ranging from event planning to photo shoot organization, among many more things. P.S. Montreal's first major event took place in the spring of 2013: "Love the Skin You're In" a Plus Size Fashion Event was a smashing success and all profits were donated to local charity ANEB Quebec to provide support for people suffering from eating disorders. Continuously battling for positive body image, size diversity and size acceptance, Yael promises to do amazing things with P.S. Montreal! When it comes to personal and creative projects, Yael has a great love for all things Burlesque and Pin-Up. That being said, her favorite local studio to work with is Andrea Hausmann Photography. She has also begun working backstage and performing on stage at local burlesque productions under the name of Miss Meow. for more information on her burlesque endeavors, check out the "Miss Meow" tab on her website at www.yaelperez.com!
